«Maslienica» (Pancake festival) is an ancient folk holiday of imminent end of winter and the beginning of spring. Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Lifestyle is the only place to plunge into the atmosphere of the most delicious folk open-air event, to participate in various workshops, to dance traditional dances and to participate in interesting folk games.

In the programme:

  • Traditional folk music;
  • Unique exhibition of various utensils used for making cheese and butter;
  • Games and entertaining activities;
  • Workshops;
  • Puppet show;
  • Contest for the best «Maslienica puppet – 2017»;
  • Fotozone;
  • Interesting folk rites connected with this holiday;
  • Ceremonial burning of Maslenitsa effigy.

Prizes for the most active participants!

At extra cost:

  • Meal in the traditional Belarusian tavern;
  • Souvenirs;
  • Horse ride;
  • Aviatrip on the helicopter.

Entrance fee:

  • adults – 12.00 BYN;
  • schoolchildren – 6.00 BYN;
  • children of a pre-school age – free.

The museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00. The ticket office is open from 10:00 to 16:30.
