Rituals are significant part of traditions of every culture. The museum preserves and revives Belarusian traditions and rituals, inviting everyone to take part in ritual events.
Ritual and festive event «Kaliady» (a custom of house-to-house Christmas carol-singing) (groups up to 25 people)

An entertaining and dynamic program at the amazingly beautiful winter landscapes of the open-air museum. The event will tell you about Belarusian traditions of the main winter holiday in an interactive form. Carols in the museum are an opportunity to learn about the symbol of the holiday, take part in the ritual "Carollers", sing traditional local Christmas songs and taste the traditional dish of the festive table - kutya. |
Ritual and festive event «Belarusian wedding ceremony» (groups up to 25 people)

During the year, the museum invites newlyweds to celebrate the birth of a new family. Young people on a real cart or chaise will come to a peasant estate, together with the guests they will get acquainted with Belarusian wedding customs and will take an active part in the traditional wedding ceremony with live folk music. |
Ritual event «Stitches of the People’s Sacred. Spring» (for a group of up to 25 people) |
The event tells about the cycle of Belarusian spring folk holidays. The purpose of the event is to get acquainted in an interactive form with the traditional holidays: "Hukanne Viasny", "Verbnitsa", "Easter", "Matruna", "Yurye", "Mikola". And in the end, visitors will meet the resident of the village, who will tell how they met spring in a peasant family, what magical properties Easter eggs have and how to gain wellness for the whole year. During the master class, guests will learn how to decorate a willow. They will be able to make springbirds out of paper and decorate trees with them, which is main part of traditional spring welcoming. |
Ritual event «Maslenitsa», «Saints Aўlas na blіny las» (for a group of up to 25 people) |
Maslenitsa is one of the most important traditional Belarusian holidays, which is a symbol of the farewell to winter and spring wellcoming. Visitors will see the Batleika puppet theatre, get acquainted with Maslenitsa traditions, dance around the Marena and taste pancakes – the traditional dish of Maslenitsa. |
