Easter is a spring holiday, the roots of which go back to ancient times. Earlier at this time, the new calendar year began. Later, the church dated the Resurrection of Christ to this day. The holiday began with a divine service, at which colored eggs, Easter cakes and pies were consecrated.
The main symbol of Easter is an egg, which embodies folk ideas about life, the sun, the spring awakening of nature, the victory of life over death. On Easter, a red egg was placed in the water with which they washed their faces. These actions were supposed to ensure health and beauty.
One of the features of the Belarusian Easter is the walk of the piggers, who congratulated the owners of the house on the holiday, wished them health, offspring of cattle, a good harvest in the field.
At our holiday, everyone will be able to join the traditional Easter celebration, learn a lot of interesting things and have a good time!
