September 29, 2023 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ludvik Kondratovich, better known under the pseudonym Vladislav Syrokoml.

He was a poet, publicist, playwright, one of the pioneers of Russian local history. In his works, he gave a description of a number of regions of Belarus, urging readers to more closely explore "every corner of the earth." The work of Vladislav Syrakomly in Nesvizh contributed to the appeal to the past. The atmosphere of the ancient city and familiarity with the rich collections of the Radziwill archive aroused interest in history.

Anniversary celebration st. Syrokomli, the museum-reserve "Nesvizh" announces a competition of local history works "Journey through my neighborhood".

Schoolchildren, students, teachers and teachers, cultural figures, amateur local historians and everyone interested in the past are invited to participate. You can write about the history of villages, towns, cities, develop new tourist routes, explore architectural, historical and natural monuments, old cemeteries and chapels.
