The word “mama” is the first that a child pronounces in his life. She is our best friend and our wisest teacher throughout our life. That’s why in Belarus “Mother’s Day” is celebrated on October, 14 together with an important religious holiday “Intercession of the Theotokos”.

In Slavic calendar the holiday “Pakrou” (“Intercession of the Theotokos” or “The Feast of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God”) is connected with the end of all field works and the beginning of wedding celebrations. So it’s high time to relax and join the celebration of family traditions with Belarusian Skansen.
